Self Storage Events


The Self Storage Association runs a number of events targeted specifically at self storage operators and investors.  These events are run at locations, both metropolitan and rural across Australia and New Zealand and also in Asia.

Regional Meetings 

Regional Meetings of members are held at least 3 times a year in each State of Australia and in New Zealand.  They are usually dinner meetings, where members and people interested in the industry attend and hear from a guest speaker as well as network with other operators.  There are also usually industry suppliers at these meetings who can discuss their products and services with you.  Every Regional meeting is attended by a staff member of the SSAA to answer all your association questions and discuss the current projects the association is running.

Industry Training 

The Self Storage Association delivers self storage specific training sessions to self storage managers.  Each session is a full day of training and there are three separate sessions, legal, operational and sales.  This is the only self storage specific Managers training offered to independent operators in Australia or New Zealand.

Annual Convention and Trade Show 

The biggest self storage event in the southern hemisphere is the Self Storage Association Convention and trade show.  This year it will be held on Queensland’s Gold Coast from October 7-9.  It is a 3 day event packed full of information, entertainment and networking.  An event not to be missed by anyone interested in operating, owning or developing self storage.
